KUXTAL "Life"

"KUXTAL" is a series of 20 original works on cotton canvas, created exclusively for Casa KI by Marcel Aragonès. It utilizes acrylics, oils, seawater, and textures of beach sand. The name "KUXTAL" comes from the ancient Maya language and means "Life." It not only implies physical existence but also encompasses broader concepts of vitality, well-being, and connection with the natural and spiritual environment.

The color palette is a homage to Maya culture. The works, featuring black and white, are complemented by touches of Maya blue, always set against the color of the Earth. The collection reflects a conscious search for balance and harmony. The white and black, the duality of existence, intertwine with blue, the color that sings to the vibration of life.
